About the game

What is Witch Hunt Bladel?

Witch Hunt Bladel is an interactive outdoor GPS treasure hunt in Bladel, North Brabant. Using a free app on your own smartphone, you will be guided by GPS through Bladel and its surroundings. At each location, a riddle, clue, or task awaits, bringing you one step closer to the truth about Zwarte Kaat — the infamous robber witch who terrorized the Brabant Kempen around 1596.

What is the difference between Heksenjacht Bladel and an escape room?

Witch Hunt Bladel is an outdoor GPS-based scavenger hunt — you play outdoors in the real environment of Bladel, not in an enclosed space. There are no fixed times, no supervisor, and no maximum group size. You can buy as many tickets as you want and play simultaneously. You play when you want and combine puzzling with exercise and the nature of the Kempen region.

What kind of assignments can I expect?

The app will guide you through the village and its surroundings. Along the way, you'll receive various assignments: search questions, knowledge questions, photo challenges, observation tasks, and creative puzzles. Can't figure it out? You can request a hint in the app.

Is there a supervisor present?

No. You play the game completely independently via your own smartphone. You will receive all instructions in advance by e-mail.

We already know Bladel well — will it still be fun?

Certainly! Precisely because the route takes you along lesser-known places and special stories, you discover Bladel in a surprisingly new way – even if you've been coming here for years.

Yes, absolutely! The game is also great to play and a lot of fun with two people. If you play with 1 team, only the competitive element is missing.

Is Witch Hunt Bladel scary?

The game has an exciting theme, fitting the legend, but it is not horror-like. The atmosphere is mysterious and adventurous, so it remains fun for families and children.

Can adults play the game without children?

Yes. Witch Hunt Bladel is also fun for couples, groups of friends and teams. The riddles, route and atmosphere make the game suitable for various ages.
